Latest Instruction – Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments and Part L consultancy

20th August 2012

Element Sustainability has been appointed by affordable housing developer Bowsall Construction Ltd to provide Part L compliance and Code for Sustainable Homes (Code) consultancy services for their latest scheme in Hanwell, London.  The Heath Lodge development will comprise twenty social housing apartments and a further nine private tenure mews properties.

Element is working closely with the scheme architect, M&E consultant and contractor to ensure targets are achieved in the most commercially preferable manner.  The dwellings will benefit from an enhanced material specification including high levels of thermal insulation coupled with photovoltaic cells to generate zero carbon electricity. The dwellings will achieve both Code Level 4 certification and meet the London Plan criteria.
