The new PAS 2035 Standard has arrived

PAS 2035 has been developed as part of the Each Home Counts process after the Green Deal failed to achieve what it set out to do. PAS 2035 is the over-arching document for the retrofit standards framework and aims to address the unacceptable level of failure currently present within domestic retrofit.

This new approach provides a framework for the whole building and looks at the home, environment, occupancy and the householder’s improvement objectives when planning and installing new measures. In time, it is expected that Each Home Counts and all other government supported retrofit projects, will require compliance with PAS 2035.

Overall, the PAS 2035 process is designed to improve quality of retrofit work for domestic properties and to increase confidence in the retrofit industry.
