New Instruction – BREEAM Retail 2008 Assessment

Element Sustainability has been appointed by Brookhouse Limited, to provide BREEAM consultancy services for their latest retail scheme in Preston. This BREEAM Retail assessment will review Unit 1 of the planned Horrocks Quarter redevelopment within the city centre.

The target BREEAM rating implemented by Preston Councils planning policies is BREEAM ‘Very Good’. This rating broadly represents a performance equivalent to the top 25% of UK commercial buildings.

Element Sustainability will work closely with the scheme’s design team to assess the shell and core construction and the ALDI store fit out phase of the development. providing support and advice on how best to achieve the requisite BREEAM rating.
