BRE launches Home Quality Mark

The BRE have unveiled their new sustainability standard, the Home Quality Mark.

The consumer focused standard will enable house builders and developers to differentiate their homes in the marketplace and independently demonstrate performance and attributes beyond the minimum requirements of the building regulations.

The standard was launched at Ecobuild, with house builders Cala Homes and Lend Lease stating their commitment to trial the mark.

It will be possible to register developments under the scheme from June 2015.
