New Instruction – BREEAM Assessment and Consultancy Services

Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL), a worldwide leader in real estate services, has instructed Element Sustainability to provide BREEAM assessment and certification services for the relocation of their new Manchester office. A pinnacle of sustainability, the scheme aspires to also achieve WELL and SKA certification. Furthermore, this unique project will require a high level of involvement and consultancy due to the complexity and range of aspirations that the client and design team wish to achieve.

The proposals comprise the first fit-out of the tenth floor of the Landmark Building, Manchester. In accordance with the JLL ambitions for the scheme, the BREEAM target rating is ‘Excellent’ which represents the top 10% of UK Non-domestic Refurbishment and Fit-out buildings.

At this early stage in the development cycle, our licenced BREEAM assessor has completed an initial BREEAM Pre-assessment report and has met with the Principal Contactor’s (Overbury) Environmental Manager to agree the preferred route to BREEAM compliance. A BREEAM workshop will soon be held with the design and construction team to refine the assessment approach and management. This process will also determine the feasibility and viability of the challenging BREEAM ‘Excellent’ target for the scheme.

In addition to the BREEAM assessment, we aim to provide an inclusive service for the client and assist by providing a complete package of services that supports the BREEAM assessment strategy. For more information on our BREEAM package, please can the office where a member of the team can talk you through the package of services we provide, Tel: 01829 733 444.
