BREEAM New Construction 2018 v6

Following the updated Building Regulations in England for Energy (Part L) and Ventilation (Part F2) that came into force on 15th June 2022, the BRE are releasing an updated BREEAM manual and opening the new version for registrations on 24 August 2022.

This update is to reflect the new Building Regulations, and the extent of the changes in this version release are purely to the Energy and Health and Wellbeing categories within the BREEAM methodology.

Projects assessed against this new version of BREEAM New Construction 2018 will reflect the updated England building regulations through:

  • Updated energy performance scales (translator curves) for England (Ene 01)
  • Updated criteria relating to ventilation and air quality (Hea 02)

As not all project in England will be following the updated Part L 2021 Building Regulations both UK New Construction 2018 and BREEAM UK New Construction v6 will be available for new registrations.

If you have any queries as to how these changes may impact your assessment please contact a member of our experienced team, who will be happy to discuss
