New Instruction – BREEAM New Construction Pre-Assessment and Sustainability Statement

Element Sustainability has been appointed by Halsall Lloyd Partnership, an award winning inter-disciplinary architecture and design practice to provide BREEAM consultancy and planning services for their latest scheme at the Audacious Church, Salford.

The development proposals include the construction of a new large extension to the existing church building. The new extension will house additional meeting space, a cafe, offices and a multi-storey car park.

In accordance with Salford City Council’s policies and guidance the proposed developments will be reviewed and a holistic appraisal will be provided within an Sustainability Statement. Two BREEAM  New Construction Pre-Assessment will also be completed. These will assess the main functions, office and retail, of the extension which will provide Halsall Lloyd Partnership with a cost effective and compliant strategy to achieve the required BREEAM New Construction ‘Very Good’ rating.

The BREEAM New Construction Pre-Assessment will be used to initiate the BREEAM assessment process and determine the specifications necessary to achieve the target BREEAM rating. We will liaise closely with the design team to ensure all client priorities are incorporated within the proposed approach for the site.
