‘Outstanding’ BREEAM Assessment

Element Sustainability are delighted to confirm that the proposed refurbishment and new build extension works to the office building at 70 Great Bridgewater Street, Manchester, has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ BREEAM rating at its interim design stage. This represents the very best in terms of building design and overall sustainable performance, with less than 1% of BREEAM assessments achieving the ‘Outstanding’ rating. The development at 70 Great Bridgewater Street now accounts for one of only eight projects in Manchester that have been able to achieve an ‘Outstanding’ rating at either design or post construction stage, and one of only two that include refurbishment works.

The achievement of the ‘Outstanding’ rating is the result of a massive effort from the whole design and project team, and Element Sustainability would like to congratulate and thank the team for their substantial efforts in securing the targeted rating! Congratulations to all, now on to post construction stage!
