New Instruction – BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment King Street

Element Sustainability has been appointed by D W Sports Ltd to provide BREEAM consultancy services for their latest scheme at King Street, Manchester. The development is converting an existing commercial building into twenty one apartments, arranged over three floors above commercial areas on the ground floor.

The target BREEAM rating for the development is BREAAM ‘Very Good’, this rating has been established by Manchester City Council’s planning policies and would result in the development ranking in the top 25% of domestic refurbishments in the UK in sustainability performance.

Element Sustainability will manage the assessment process through the Design and Post-Construction Stages, liaising with the BRE and working closely with the schemes architect, M&E consultant and contractor to ensure targets are achieved in the most commercially preferable manner.
