Iceland on the road to BREEAM ‘Very Good’

Our in-house BREEAM Assessor, Stacey Downes, recently conducted a successful BREEAM site inspection visit for the Iceland food outlet at the Queens Retail Park, Preston. The target BREEAM rating, as implemented by Preston Council, is BREEAM ‘Very Good’. The building has performed well in all areas of the assessment and is expected to exceed the minimum requirements for BREEAM ‘Very Good’ and has now been submitted to the BRE for formal certification.

This is the second retail unit Element Sustainability has certified for BREEAM compliance at this Queens Retail Park site working with our developer client Castlehouse Construction. We look forward to assessing a further two retail units in which we have been appointed and are due to start on site imminently.
