New Instruction – Carbon Budget Statement

Element Sustainability has been appointed by Calderpeel Architects to provide a Carbon Budget Statement. This statement will support the planning application for the proposed mixed use scheme at 397 Stockport Road, Timperley. The scheme will include the demolition of the existing structures at the site and the construction of a ground floor retail unit and twelve new apartments.

Trafford Council’s Local Development Framework requires new developments to mitigate and reduce its impact on climate change factors. The Carbon Budget Statement will review the Council’s planning policies and outline the measures to be implemented to ensure the proposed development reduces its CO2 emissions.

Energy calculations will be completed to enable the technical team to establish a feasible and viable means of significantly reducing the dwelling’s carbon dioxide emission rate in accordance with local planning policy targets.
