Housing Standards Review Delay

26th July 2013

The government has delayed publishing of the much awaited Housing Standards Review.

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) launched the wide-ranging review of housing standards last year in order to rationalise the numerous standards and regulations that apply to new homes. The review sought to reduce unnecessary cost and complexity in the housebuilding process.

A DCLG spokesperson said a new timetable for the publication of the results of the review had yet to be confirmed.
