Feed In Tariffs to End in April 2019

The government has confirmed that homeowners who install solar PV panels from April 2019 will not be eligible to receive payment for the excess power they export. Approximately 90% of people who responded to a government consultation have opposed the changes claiming they were unfair and would set back climate change efforts. The 800,000 plus homes that already have solar panels fitted will not be affected.
