Deansgate Square Sustainability Partner

As anyone who has visited Manchester recently will know, the Deansgate Square development is impossible to miss – reshaping the city’s skyline with its cutting edge architecture and impressive scale. Element Sustainability are extremely proud of our association with this scheme as sustainability partner and contribution to this world-class project.

Building upon our long-standing relationship with Renaker Build, Element Sustainability have successfully lodged 1,508 residential Energy Performance Certificates and associated Building Control submission documents for all four residential towers, the largest of which is 64-storeys high making this the second tallest residential building in the UK (excluding the Shard in London where there are only ten flats in total).

We have worked closely with the Renaker Build team since concept design, initially producing an Environmental Standards Statement to promote the sustainability strategy for the scheme and support the planning application.  We then completed SAP and SBEM calculations to ensure the compliance Part L of Building Regulations, as well as Dynamic Simulation Modelling to inform our  overheating assessment of the scheme and our BREEAM AP assessors have also recently certified the commercial units to meet the BREEAM Very Good target rating.
