Changes to the Energy Performance Certificate Register

The government has this month launched a new Energy Performance of Buildings Register for England, Northern Ireland and Wales. This change means that Energy Performance Certificate (EPCs) will now be stored and made available from a government website, rather than the Landmark register.  More information will be provided within the EPC to enable dwelling occupants to make informed decisions on improving their property. This will include useful links to items such as energy efficiency regulations and energy grants.

Once a domestic energy assessment has been lodged in the new central register, the energy assessor will be provided with a download link which may be used to view and obtain a printable version of the dwelling’s EPC online.

If you are in need of a SAP assessment or EPC for your property, look no further than Element Sustainability – our experienced in-house, accredited Energy Assessors deliver quality energy assessments for residential and non-domestic buildings.  Please contact a member of our team who will be happy to assist you.
